The Saint Louis University Program in Physical Therapy is celebrating its 75th Anniversary during the 2008-09 academic year. The Program had its birth in 1933 under the leadership of Dr. Alexander J. Kotkis, a physiatrist at Firmin Desloge Hospital. The first physical therapy graduate completed her course of studies in 1937. The Program was one of the first 15 in the country, and has had uninterrupted accreditation since 1936.
